-
The League will begin on Wednesday May 2nd, 2012 and end on August 29, 2012.
-
There will be 2 divisions: Early League and Late League.
There will be a Shotgun start for both Divisions at 4:40pm.
Starting Holes are posted on the Schedule.
There will be 2 position rounds on the 7th and 14th weeks of the League.
-
Handicaps will be based on 9-hole league play computed each week. The Average
score less Par will be used for the handicap (80% of the Average is used). Weekly
adjustments will be made.
-
Entry will be $200 per individual or $400 per team. Substitutes will
need to make arrangements for payments with their partners, not the
League. Substitutes will NOT be allowed during the playoffs except as
provided in rule #9.
-
Matches are scored through the match play system. There will also
be an added incentive for every golfer to do his best on every hole by
giving prize money each week for individual high points to those golfers
who have not already won weekly prize money. There will be 3 places
paid as indicated on the payout sheet.
-
The point system used will be the COMBINED point totals of the 2
team-members. For each member of the team: determine the NET
score on the hole, and then use the NET score to determine the Stableford
points. Add up the Stableford points for each team-member, and use
that total to compare to the other team's total, and determine who won
the hole.

Tie breakers in weekly matches will first be determined by the team's total
points: if still tied, then the tie breaker will be a scorecard playoff
from the tie breaker hole (pre-determined holes will be in accordance
with that weeks play: for instance week #1, the tie-breaker will be
hole #1.... and week #10 tie-breaker hole would be hole #1). In the event
of a tie in the Playoffs after 9 holes, the match will proceed to the 1st
tee and sudden death will apply and continue until a winner is declared.
-
If all matches are NOT completed due to inclement weather, all matches for
that week will be a wash. Weekly prize money will be doubled for the
next week. Cancelled nights will be made up in lieu of the next
scheduled position round.
-
You may use a substitute for any regular season match. NO substitutes
will be allowed for the teams that make the playoffs, unless a regular has
moved away or he is on his deathbed.
-
At the finish of the regular season we will have 4 playoff weeks which will
consist of the top 8 teams from each division. Playoff money will pay
all 8 teams that make it to the second round.
-
If there is a tie for a playoff position after the regular season, the
tie breakers will be:
|
1. |
Total points accumulated during the entire regular season |
|
2. |
Head-to-head record between the teams during the regular season |
|
3. |
Sudden-death playoff starting on hole #1 |
-
Rules:
|
1. |
USGA match-play rules govern all play |
|
2. |
2-man teams, total of both balls on each hole |
|
3. |
Rulings will be made by Jim Gustafson and Blaine Breit |
-
For computing a Beginning-of-the-Year Handicap, the following rule will be used:
- Use the Traditional 1st score Handicap Computation
Handicaps will be computed weekly using all scores for the
year. The player will receive 80% of his average strokes over
par. The maximum number of shots given this year will be 11
on a 14 handicap, with double shots given on
handicap holes 1 and 3 (Holes #8 and #4)

Both players must hole out on every hole or the team will receive (-6)
points for that hole and lose that particular hole in their match. The
scorecard must be signed by at least one player from each team. Failure
to abide by all of the league rules will result in disqualification
for the team for that week, and they will receive 0 points for their team
score.
- Handicap rules are as follows:
- Handicaps will be figured weekly.
- Up until the end of a match the worst score anyone can take for
handicap purposes is a double-bogey (all players must record their
actual score).
- After the match is over the worst score that can be taken for handicap
purposes will be a net-bogey (all players must record their actual
score).
- To speed up play: If a player is going to make a net triple-bogey
please pick up so that we all can finish in the day light.

Skins
Every week there will be a skins pot. Players will no longer pay at
the Pro shop before they tee off. Instead, Skins must be pre-paid for the year.
This year, skins will be both Gross and Net.
A teammate cannot tie a skin either
(this is to encourage everyone to score as best as possible on every hole).
A hole-in-one or a double eagle will be given all the skin money for that
week. In the event of both a hole and one and a double eagle, the weekly
skin money will be split between both players. If a player has paid in
advance for his entry into the skins game and must use a substitute for a week
that he is not able to participate, the substitute will be entered into the
skins game and will be eligible to win skin money for the week without paying
an additional entry for the skins game. It is the discretion of that
team (not the league) to handle proper payment, as the winning will be
paid to the winning team not the substitute.

Note 1: |
16 teams will make the playoffs, those will be the
top 8 from each division. Only those 16 teams play for the Playoff Prize
Money. All other teams will continue to play in the Rat Race. The
Playoff teams are not eligible for the Rat Race until they are eliminated
from the playoffs.
|
Note 2: |
Everyone who plays in a given week is eligible for hole prizes,
and 1 player is allowed to win both hole prizes in the same week.
|
The Rat Race
The Rat Race is going to be the game for all participants that don't make the
playoffs. Like in years past: playoff participants will not be
allowed to participate until the week after they're eliminated. It
is going to be an individual ringer board that will run the entire length
of the playoffs. The payoffs will be based upon the best score posted
to the ringer board. What is a ringer board you ask? The ringer
board will consist of your cumulative net score posted on each individual
hole by the player for the duration of their participation. Taking your
best net score you made on each and then add those scores up for 9 hole
total. We will use your league handicap for this competition. It
is really quite simple...Lowest score wins!
All participants MUST play with another rat race player other than their partner.
